I am home. Not happy about it. Today it's snowed and the lovely people who run our local school district didn't call off school. It's pretty typical. Living in the southern part of Illinois like we do, we don't get a lot of snow therefore snow removal is shoddy to haphazard at best. I found it slick and dangerous driving my daughter to school this morning and I drive a Jeep. I don't even want to think about what the bus drivers were dealing with. The main road in town was plowed, sort of. Most of the side roads were not plowed at all. Quite typical. Of course almost all the other schools in the lower half of the state called off school. But not ours, oh no! It's sad to think that they are more worried about their money than the lives of the children.
